Problem # 4
Wrapping a Paper Cut with a Stone
The Thaumalogical Society (sounds better than coven doesn't it) runs a game night once a week for its members. On game night, the first 3 members to sign in are allowed to play a special version of “scissors, paper, stone”. [“Scissors, paper, stone” is a traditional children's game where the players call out scissors, paper or stone. The possible outcomes are in the form of a round-robin, i. e. scissors cuts paper, paper wraps stone and stone dulls scissors, so there is no absolute correct guess that can be made in order to win. Ties are possible, of course, and do not count as a win.] This special version is played at least 3 times. If at the end of playing three times there is a member who has won more than the other members, that member is declared the winner. However, if three rounds have ended with out one member having more wins than the other two, another round is played. This continues until one member has more wins than either of the other two. Since the game is regarded as a test of magical abilities, the winner is declared the most powerful witch.
Write an interactive program for three contestants to play this special version of “scissors, paper, stone”.
